Physical Activity Specialist

A WORLD FIT FOR KIDS! (WFIT) is offering exciting opportunities for qualified individuals to lead exemplary physical activity (PA) programming with K-8 students before, during or after school. We are also hiring experienced trainers to conduct our Physical Activity Leadership (PAL) training for adults. Practice what you’ve learned in a real-world setting, build your resume and make a difference in young people’s lives!

Responsibilities are leading exercises and fun physical activities and games that include warm-up, dynamic/static stretching and skill development. Sessions can also include dancing, fitness training, yoga, breathing/mindfulness or other activities to help build the students’ social, emotional, mental and motor skills. Jobs are available for one to five days a week and positions are available mornings and afternoons.

Prerequisites for PA Specialists:

·        Experience leading group exercise; certification in personal training or coaching sports; degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or exercise physiology are preferable but not required

·        Group management competence

·        High energy, enthusiasm, outgoing personality

·        Completion of in-person physical activity training provided by WFIT
